💁🏾Why Do This Now? ****

For an entrepreneur, passion is necessary. In the moments of doubt, exhaustion, and rejection that you'll inevitably experience in company building, it will be your passion that drives you to persevere. To be a successful entrepreneur, it takes a fierce commitment to solving a specific problem or a profound desire to improve the lives of your customers. If you plan to be a CTO, passion for technology can be your driving factor, but you'll still want to work with a partner who loves working with the customer and can identify problems (think Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak). In Step 1 we provide a repeatable system for thinking through business ideas and finding a starting point. If you already have an idea that you're excited about, Step 1 will help you evaluate the fit between you and your idea. By "business idea" or "idea" we mean the rough business opportunity, or in other words, having customers in mind that have a problem or need, that you have some way of solving. Keep in mind, your business idea and (especially) the solution are going to shift and take new direction countless times throughout these ten steps! We recommend maintaining an appropriate emotional distance and prepare to embrace the change!

"I always say that curiosity is my superpower, and by constantly asking questions and learning more about what I don't know, I end up building things that I could have never planned for." Emily Weiss, CEO and Founder of Glossier
