Now that we have a product and business model, we can finally talk about marketing. But the truth is we have been working on our marketing since the beginning - whether fleshing out our customer persona, building an alpha community, or creating ad tests - we've been taking steps to better understand our market and customers. In this step, we're going to take those learnings to create a growth strategy.

Growth isn't just about getting new customers and spending money on marketing and sales, it's important to look at your funnel holistically. Acquiring new customers would be pretty futile if you aren't able to retain them, and it would be a lot cheaper if you can leverage your existing users to help you grow more organically through a viral loop.

High growth companies will obviously need to really figure out their growth engines, but even non-high growth companies can benefit from understanding their customer relationship and how to create sustainable growth.
